- Guild Recruitment is an extremely useful tool for advertising to visitors that you are looking for new members. In addition, if you enable recruitment, your guild will appear in the WowStead Guild Recruitment Tool, where users can easily find information about your recruiting needs.
- To enable recruitment, first make sure the the 'Guild Recruitment' module is enabled from the General Settings page of the Control Panel. After enabling the module, go to the Recruitment page of the Control Panel. You'll find this link in the 'Site Features' section. From this page simply check the 'Currently Recruiting' checkbox and click the 'Save' button.
- To enable the calendar, first make sure the module is enabled from the General Settings page of the Control Panel. Then go to the Calendar page of the Control Panel.

Customizing Your Site
Even though Wowstead requires very little initial setup, you are still given a number of powerful tools to personalize and customize your guild site.
Wowstead Content Management System (CMS)
The Wowstead CMS is an incredibly powerful tool that lets you create pages, posts, FAQs, galleries and other content for your site.
You can access the CMS by going to the control panel and accessing the control pages under "News & Media".
Layout, Theme & Widget Placement
- You can easily change your site's layout, theme and widget placement by going to the Customize Site page of the Control Page in the 'Site Configuration' section.
Guild Ranks
To rename your guild ranks, simply go to the Ranks & Permissions page of the control panel, inh the 'Guild Management' section.
- Wowstead can detect the number of active ranks in your guild. The ranks are defaulted to Guild Master (Rank 0) and Rank 1 through Rank 9 - where Rank 1 is the highest and Rank 9 is the lowest. You can determine what site permissions a rank has using the Manage Permissions button to the right of a given rank. Users will be automatically granted site permissions based on the in-game rank of their character.
- You can create custom ranks using the "Create New Role" button in the upper right of the Ranks & Permissions control page. Custom ranks can be used to assign privilege to guild members in addition to their default guild rank permissions.
Site Navigation
- You can edit your site's navigation menu by going to the Navigation page of the Control Panel, in the 'Site Configuration' section. Here, you can create and edit navigation links, or restrict them to certain guild ranks and create new links.

Guild Ethos
We Happy Few is a large, medium core raiding guild. We put strong emphasis on good behaviour but are otherwise fairly free of rules and restrictions. The essential point is that you do not do anything which reduces other people’s enjoyment of the game. We are multi-national although the majority of us are from Britain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. We have also had American, Thai, Greek, French, South African, Romanian, Icelandic and Russian members.
The guild does not have any age restriction but we object to childish behaviour, especially from adults. Swearing is prohibited.
At any given time we have 200-250 accounts of which abut 80% are active. We accept that not everyone will get on with everyone else and we expect people to deal with this in a mature fashion. Officers will not put people on ignore, other ranks may do so as a last resort but if the problem has got to that stage there is a bigger issue to be dealt with.
We do not remove people for being inactive, we always welcome people who come back after a break. Having said that, guild administration becomes impossible if the number of characters in the guild rises above 500. When this occurs we will remove characters as necessary. People removed in this way are always welcome to return to the guild.
While raiding takes up a lot of the time and effort of the officers it is not the sole reason for the guilds existence. People who wish to do other things are very welcome although we should mention the guild does very little PvP. If you don’t want to raid you won’t be pressured to do so, although we do expect people who sign up to turn up, and members of fixed teams to give good notice of absences.
If you are intending to raid then you will be expected to comply with the requirements of the raid teams, which are pretty much what you would expect. The guild usually raids 2000-2330 server time, although some raids are at different times for specific reasons. 25 man raids take place on Friday.
If loot rules would play a major factor in deciding whether you join or not then this is probably not the guild for you. Anyone present is allowed to roll on loot for their main spec, offspecs roll if no MS wants it, highest roll wins. No DKP, modified rolls or any such silliness. If you are good enough to be there you’re good enough to get the drops, if you aren’t good enough to be then you shouldn’t be there.
We have Vent and expect you to have it ready if you wish to raid. Raid signups are being re-organised at the moment, we used to use GEM but are now experimenting with forum signups for 25 man raids. Most of the fixed teams don’t use a signup method, but do expect their members to post on the forums if they can not make a raid.
New members join at Squire rank, full members are Knights. You will have one character at this rank, all alts are Footmen. Monk is a rank reserved for retired members, there are a number of people whose contributions were so great we never want to remove them (Icegrind and Bubelf, among a few others).
We have 4 officer ranks, plus Count rank for officer’s alts. The ranks, in ascending order, are; Baron, Duke, Earl, Prince. Guildmaster rank is King, the guildmaster is Randomeyes.
If this has not put you off then please apply using the link below.

ICC10
All our fixed teams are doing very well. Two of them are fighting the Lich King with one reaching phase 3.
The brand new Tuesday team has started well, downing 6 bosses on its first night.
Fingers crossed for all the Teams and let's hope to have some Kingslayers in guild soon.
ICC25
Our guild run has recently killed Rotface and is now 6/12; This is excellent, especially as our 25 man team goes only once a week and that we usually invite another guild to run with us. -
We Happy Few raids at the moment with a mixed system comprising of;
1 fixed 10 man team on Wednesday returning on Thursday.
1 fixed 10 man team on Monday.
1 new fixed 10 man team on Tuesday.
An open ICC25 man raid on Fridays (invites starting by 2000)
In addition we try to get a guild ICC10 man team running each night, usually 2000-2015. Naturally this doesn't always happen, especially if a fixed team is scheduled for that night, but it's there for people who aren't in the fixed teams. -
Recruitment never closed as such, we always have room for quality people in the guild.
While we raid, it is not the sole reason for the guild's existance, if you want to join for reasons other than raiding then you will usually be accepted.
The criteria below apply regardless of whether you want to raid;
General Criteria
Real life friends and relatives of existing members are always welcome.
In-Game friends of existing members are almost always accepted.
People wo want to joinn the guild for the right reasons but are not interested in raiding are always welcome.
If you want to raid we need to check that you will be able to raid in the way you want and that your raiding style is compatible with the guild's approach so read on.
Having said all the above a combination of the maturity of the guild and the changing nature of the game means that it (both the game and the guild) is more and more focused on endgame raiding. We therefore look carefully at what we need to make the guild raids a success and at what you want in order that if you join you are happy with the raiding.
Recruiting for Raid Members
We have a definite need for more healers, preferably with a DPS offspec.
In general we have enough melee DPS.
Cataclysm is 2 months away at the time of writing this so we have a limited picture of what is going to happen. I am expecting large scale disruption due to incoming game changes, players taking a break before cataclysm, players returning to get ready for Cataclysm, increasing server disruption and other unforseen events.
To sum up - we have n idea what the next 3 months of game time will look like, but we're always looking for good people.
